Why does nothing online note that Even Deeper by Nine Inch Nails uses the opening part of the 3rd movement of Debussy's String Quartet in G Minor (my fave song ever). Why does nobody else care (I have been searching this up every now and then for like, a decade lmao). I don't think this is even the only NIN song with Debussy in it (though idk if there's more than this and La Mer - the latter, people do comment on) so like. I don't think that the only NIN + Debussy fans out there are me and Mr. Reznor himself. Just nobody is writing it down on the internet: so here, I am.

This is my favourite performance of the Debussy piece. I never found another with so much heartbreak in the heartbroken bit. (Which is the best bit obvs. But not the bit in Even Deeper. But that bit is good too. And so is Even Deeper.)

I need some music icons :) I have some old LJ ones I could use but I think I've grown out of hypersaturated neon Brian Molko and Gwen Stefani. Not that I don't still listen to both :D

For old times sake:

Idk what musicians or music-related-stuff I would want for an icon nowadays though. I guess mesh shirt sleeves Trent Reznor is always an option. (So is turning him bright pink and green!)
